Hi,
I'm Marlene Coffman.
Throughout the years, the Decatur WBA has strived to make your bowling experience
enjoyable. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't, but we always gave
it our best shot. I encourage all of you to work with, and for, the association
to make bowling a sport that is fun and enjoyable. Being able to score is only
part of the game. Bowling is for everyone. We hope you can join us.

Make
no mistake about it, we are more than fierce bowling competitors.
We are a caring group of women, who are highly motivated
in helping with charitable events. We serve as a support
group to many local organizations such as the Special Olympics
and Easter Seals events. We relish our rich heritage, we
have 20/20 hindsight, and we look to the future with enthusiasm.
Charities will show you where we lend a helping hand to
those "needing a helping hand". Take a look at
what we do in the name of "all" decatur women
bowlers - you will be surprised at our commitment, which
includes you, whether you know it or not.
The BVL page will give you a little background on how
women bowlers have always supported the veterans. It will
make you proud!
We've come a long way since the thirty or so women first
organized the Decatur Women's Bowling Association on February
29, 1932. A "bit of history" is recorded on the
History page, but the brevity is by no means all we know
about our journey through the years.
Ever wonder who your voices are at State and National
conventions? Visit our Delegates page to see your representatives
for each of these conventions.
We have not forgotten those who are no longer with us.
We strive to record the names of deceased members; however,
we are aware that some names may not be listed. If you
are aware of a DWBA member whose name is missing, and you
would like to have it included, contact Marlene Coffman.
View names we have by visiting our Deceased Members page.
