SUSAN G. KOMEN FOUNDATION
'Race for the Cure' |
One of the national charities that Decatur bowlers (both men and women) are dedicated to is their support of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The Foundation is an international organization and recognized as one of the major charities supported by bowlers. Each year bowlers conduct fund raising events to provide continued support for the fight against breat cancer. The funds are used in advancing research, education, screening and treatment. The fund raising events include tournaments, pledges for pins knocked down, raffles, and league donations. At the USBC annual convention bowlers present a check to the Foundation for money collected. Your support and contributions are helping to save lives ravaged by this disease.
